I recently came across this paperback from the library called "Kids Stuff Spanish: Easy Spanish Phrases to teach your Kids (and Yourself)". This looks like a great reference for parents interested in conversing with their kids using common phrases that they would ordinarily already be using with their family throughout the day. Examples include standard sections such as greetings, mealtime, bathroom, and bedtime, but there are also other sections I haven't commonly seen elsewhere, such as examples of some common nursery rhymes, prayers, and compliments for the kids. I don't think I've come across many resources this comprehensive (it's over 100 pages averaging 10 phrases per page in English and Spanish with the accompanying phonetics). They also have editions published in French, Italian, and German! Definitely planning to keep on our family bookshelf!
