Felipa y el dia de los muertos

One last book I came across recently for El dia de los Muertos is this one, written about a young girl whose grandmother dies, and the girl's journey to trying to find her again as she travels all over in search of her soul. The story doesn't talk as much about the customs of the holiday but focuses on its foundations of love and honoring the memories of those who have passed on before us. Another read best reserved for early Elementary school-aged children. My understanding is that while the book was not originally written in Spanish, the author spent much time abroad studying the customs associated with this holiday.
