I have only just recently discovered the author Susan Middleton Elya, a former Spanish teacher who has authored over 20 picture books, majority of which contain lyrical text incorporating Spanish words sprinkled amongst an otherwise English storyline. "Say Hola to Spanish" was the first of many of these. Some of her other titles include "Oh no, gotta go!", and "Oh no, gotta go #2" which are all about finding a bathroom, probably one of the first phrases anyone who's studying a foreign language wants to learn I think these books would be particularly good for those kids who are otherwise resistant to speaking Spanish as they're easy, fun, and catchy! Each book also comes with a glossary of the 60+ Spanish vocabulary terms. They're a must for any beginners Spanish student!
